31 Oct 1982 - First Registration
This vehicle is accompanied by numerous invoices and was subject to a full backdated restoration in 2021.
This stunning backdated 'Restomod' was completed by Marque specialist RS911, the project started with finding the best donor car possible, in this case a 1981 3.0Ltr 911 SC, having found rust free example that also benefitted from recent expenditure to both engine and transmission, the father & son team at RS911 set about stripping the vehicle to a bare shell.
The vehicles wheels arches were removed and backdated to 'pre-73' spec using genuine Porsche panels, this allowed the use of the correct 'Long' Bonnet, the wheel arch extensions were welded into the new wings long with front indicator extensions, the decision was made to use a 'Singer' style centre filler for the fuel tank along with Carbon Fibre front bumper and rear bumper corners. To finish off the stunning project RS911 mixed their own shade of Blue to finish off the exterior perfectly, the external door and window frames were re-anodised, brand new external mirrors, wiper arms, door handles and lights were fitted to complete the exterior.
The interior of the vehicle was entrusted to Porsche specialist trimmers Classic FX, they have completely renewed the interior with Alcantara covering the roof lining, upper dahboard, door tops continuing to flow through to the rear of the car, the seats, lightweight door cards and the remaining rear section have been finished in leather with period correct silver and black 'Houndstooth' Material, finally the carpets were replaced with a brand new box weave carpet throughout.
The engine of the vehicle was stripped down, inspected, rebuilt and detailed, the fuel injection system was removed and replaced with Weber 45 IDA Carburettors, brand new exhaust system with GT3 style centre exit tailpipes, the engine and transmission was then refitted to the vehicle using a bespoke engine bay loom, uprated alternator, high torque starter motor, uprated fusebox, along with brand new mountings & driveshafts,
Finally the car sits on uprated Bilstein suspension, uprated Anti-Rollbars, new bushes all round, RS911 6-Pot front & 4-pot rear brake calipers, a pair of Genuine Porsche 8x15 Fuchs Wheels and Aftermarket 10x15" Rears.
A truly stunning build which must be seen to be appreciated.
