A truly stunning backdated Porsche 911 Targa, this particular vehicle started life as a 1984 3.2Ltr Targa, it has just undergone a full nut & bolt restoration including backdate to pre-73 spec by renowned marque specialists RS911,
Starting with a solid shell the team at RS911 stripped the vehicle to a bare shell to start the process of backdating the vehicle to pre-73 spec, starting with replacing the front slam panel to allow the deletion of the G50 bumper brackets and enable the use of the correct long bonnet and front wings, the rear centre panel was replaced along with fitting of pre-73 rear quarter bumpers allowing the use of the Chrome over riders, the car was then repainted in the current in-vogue shade of Crayon Grey, during the reassembly of the body a 911 S Style front bumper was chosen, a stainless steel Targa hoop fitted, the front quarter light windows were replaced with new opening glass, an extremely rare heated front screen was sourced and fitted along with a new heated rear screen, finally new brightwork was fitted all round along with gold badges.
Whilst the engine and transmission was removed it was stripped, inspected and rebuilt adding an uprated starter motor & alternator prior to being detailed before being refitted to the body of the vehicle,
During the rebuild the suspension was replaced with uprated Bilstein shock absorbers all round, new bushes fitted, new brake calipers along with discs & pads fitted, finally a set of 17" Fuchs replica wheels were fitted before being returned to the ground.
The interior of the vehicle was replaced starting with a brand new box weave carpet throughout the cabin and under the bonnet, the dashboard along with upper doors were finished in Alcantara, the door cards were finished with red stitching and RS style door pulls, brand new Rennsport seats were selected and subsequently sent to Classic FX to be refinished in period correct houndstooth material, the targa panel was refinished in red mohair and handmade seats belts commissioned to match.
